The Matriarch blogs in!

What a great idea, Nicole!  This will be fun.....especially can't wait to see what your Dad writes!  This week was my Birthday Week.  I was surprised and spoiled almost every day!
First, Dad promised to have the garage cleaned out enough that I could actually park the new car in the garage.  That garage has not seen a car for probably 7-8 years!  Well, the day before my birthday,  the garage was ready - and it was just in time.  The temperature was 112 degrees the next day!  Now I have a cool car (in more way than one!)  Then the Stanners dropped off a birthday card and chocolate pie.  Then Mary dropped off a birthday card and chocolate pie.  And Lydia surprised me at work the Red Velvet Cupcakes from Claimjumpers.  Do these people know me or what???
Suzi, Norma, JoLynn, Lydia and I went to lunch on Tuesday.  Bridget gave me a beautiful new purse - Nicole gave me a Subway gift card - and Maryann is waiting for me to decide on an end table for the living room that she is then going to "surprise" me with!  What a wonderful family.  I am truly blessed. 
Holy Angels Fiesta is just a week away.  I am super busy at work with that and with preparations for the 75th Anniversary celebration on Oct. 24th. 
This Saturday is Emily's baby shower - that should be so fun!  We will take pictures and post them right away.  Aunt Dolores and Cathy are driving in from Parker and we may also get to see Sr. Consolata by the end of the afternoon.  Family fun!
I think I am writing too much for a blog - let me know if there are any blog rules I should know.

My life today: Work from 7:30-10:30---not kidding!---saving souls, bashing blasphemy, you know, busy with all of that good stuff! ;)

Nicole's Update

Hello my beautiful family. Bridget and I had a great walk up in Petaluma and we both decided that it would be fabulous to stay in touch by blogging! This way no matter what time of day or what day of the week: we can log in and update each other. Whether you are in Marin Catholic high school, Holy Angels rectory, using a laptop in Monrovia, or are looking at the bay from your cubicle in South San Francisco: we can stay in touch.

Here is my update: I'm still chugging away at work and watching the calendar days quickly flip. I can't believe it will be October this Friday! I missed mom on her birthday, but I know she's doing well with her new set up at home. This weekend I'm off to Tahoe with my work. Apparently the cabins that my boss rented are huge. I'll try to take pictures. I wish Maryann the best with her big mass at school on Friday and Sr. Consolata's visit. (I'm sure I spelled her name wrong) The picture below is from the Cal game vs. Colorado Boulder. (when we actually won!) That's Britney, Sydney, and Erin from high school! We reunited in Berkeley. It was a blast.
